The NFCA’s “A Blogger A Day” in Honor of Celiac Awareness Month

Yes, I know.

Here it is, over midway thru May, and I’ve not even mentioned the “c” word.

No, not that one.  The “Celiac Awareness” word.

Here’s a very brief rant on why.  To me, every freaking day is celiac awareness day.  Every day I do my level best to educate and inspire, for gluten free and celiac awareness.  And I am certain that many of you do the same.  So, we don’t need no stinkin’ month (although don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice gesture and all.)  Every day, every month, every year-it’s Celiac Awareness, baby.

Rant over.

Anyway, my friends, the amazing folks at the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (see, it’s every day there too) are featuring a different gluten free blogger a day for the month of May.  And today, it’s my day.  Woot!!  I have been very fortunate to have worked with the NFCA in several capacities over the past year or so, and am looking forward to continuing to work with them in the future.  They are a great group of people, and are committed to furthering the cause and bettering life and food for all of us.  (Yes, Kristin and Cheryl-this means you! Special atta girl shout outs to my NFCA peeps for keeping me in line and not letting me curse during the “Gluten Free Effect on Athletes” webinar.)  Kidding! I would never curse…

So while you pop over to Celiac Central, be sure to check out what the NFCA has been up to, and what their ongoing goals are. I’m sure you will be inspired, just as I have been through working with this GREAT organization.

Oh yeah, and here’s my celiac blogger profile! Make sure to read over the previous entries too, and check back for the upcoming days. We have a metric $*%& ton of talented, passionate, intelligent bloggers in the gluten free sphere.

And yes, I’ve been away. I’ll be back this weekend with a ginormous round up post.
Til then! (And if you want more information here, check out Gluten Free and Fit 101 for all your getting started needs. Socks not included.)
